Kim at Hiraeth is hosting the recipe round-up for May with an appetizer theme. I’m joining in with this very simple 2 ingredient appetizer that is a hit every time I serve it.
All you need is fresh asparagus and a package of prosciutto. This is a 4 oz. package.

The hardest part of this process is separating the prosciutto without totally ripping it to shreds! Wrap a small piece of the prosciutto around the asparagus.

At this stage just to make it easier to flip over in the broiling process, I skewer about 5-6 pieces of the prepared asparagus together. (Soak the skewers so they are less likely to burn under the broiler)

Place the skewers on a broiling pan and broil for short time on each side. Keep an eye on them. (maybe 1 to 1-1/2 minutes on each side. De-skewer them and serve on a nice serving platter. These are fine to serve even if they are not hot out of the oven.
