So I saw this little rating at John Dekker’s blog and couldn’t resist…
Let me know if you check it out for your blog.

Just did it for my blog and was pleasantly surprised!! This was fun, thanks!
I was beginning to think everyone’s blog was junior high level but a couple on my blogroll hit the college level and high school level…
As someone with a Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) background, I can see what you have here is most useful for ESL educators and students alike. Thanks for sharing.
Had to do it too! Thanks, Ellen.
So not surprised for me… elementary school! I write like I talk FAR from higher edj-a-macation!
mine was also junior high!
OHHH, you know, I am going to have to try this…LOL

This has got to be a joke! My rustling of leaves is collge undergrad; my cottage blog is high school (that’s more like it); but my Outdoor blog is “Genius!” – yeah, right!!!
Pam!, Way to go! I think when you use some of the older language from of the classical old hymns and fathers of the faith it gives you a higher rating!
Ok, first off sorry about the double post, not sure what happened there. Secondly, I figured the rating out. My words are sooo confusingly written that it would take someone with that level of intelligence to even begin to understand what I have written in my posts due to my lack of English grammar application! Wow! That’s a smack between the eyes!!!! Goodness, I must be stupid. Ouch, that hurts … I should quit blogging and go back to lurking … (head is hanging low) … ;-(
Pam, Now stop being so hard on yourself. I think you should just enjoy these ratings. Blessings…
Mine says undergrad…I don’t believe it though
I posted it on my blog.
My daughter’s blog is for geniuses. She’s nine. This is weird. Her blog, http://www.justwriteforkids.us, is her own creation! Thanks for posting this. I hope someone in admissions at Harvard reads your blog!
I was surprised to find out mine was college level! I certainly am not aiming for that – I’m just too wordy, I guess! Thanks for the tip and thanks for visiting my blog!
Hmmm… I really am curious what they use to rate the readability of blogs… I think that I would rate your blog higher than Junior High in some areas (Scripture/allusions/figurative language). Use of older language/references to places in Europe etc. would be a challenge for a lot of the eighth graders I knew. I agree with Pam, that my rating is probably due to misspellings/poor grammar or even (DRAT!) run-on sentences! Eck!
