There are magazines that I enjoy looking at and getting recipes out of but they are all more money than I want to throw away. What I have found that works great for me is to go to our local Friends of the Library shop right next door to our library and find magazines I like that are in great shape for 25 cents! Even if they are a year old they still have great recipes and information in them.

great idea! I buy old magazines at yard sales.
Great idea! Yard sales too.
Neat! I wish our library still did that.
We do that do. One of our favorites to find is Birds and Blooms.
old magazines can be fun for craft projects too…
Problem with me is I see it at the grocery store and can’t resist!
I like to go to the library for things like that. It is amazing how much money you can save by going to the library!
Love the Friends of the Library shops.
I think Bon Appetit posts a lot of searchable recipes at epicurious.com, too- and Gourmet magazine also. I haven’t bought a cookbook in several years because of that site, and foodnetwork.com.
I love, love, love our local FOTL…we buy a lot of our homeschooling supplies through them.
