Table manners and for that matter ANY manners would be nice to see! My sons have been taught manners and most of the time they use them. Kids made fun of them during the junior high years and even into high school and college, but it is greatly noticed and appreciated by adults and adults are the ones who hire them! : D
That would be nice!
I have really tried to teach my children these table manners, it stuck with my daughter. My son, well that is a different story. How is it that you can raise two children the same and they turn out so different? This is a great post. I would love to have that picture at my house! Thanks for sharing. God Bless!
Isn’t that the truth! Manners and courtesy are rare commodities in these days of public cell phone conversations and individual rights.
Made me laugh… even though it’s not really funny. I’ve often wondered when table manners, common courtesy, and common sense went by the wayside.
Great post!
Very cool sign! It is sad that table manners seem to be considered old fashioned.
That is some sign.
Awesome choice.
I am so glad my parents instill this table manners while we are growing up. Now, it’s my time to teach my little boys:) Thanks for the reminds too! Nice one,Ellen:D
xo~
Marvelous! Table manners – don’t see them being taught much any more. Ha! Thanks for commenting, ellen, on my PH post!
I will masticate my breakfast quietly but I’m quietlychuckling as I read. I enjoyed this photo.
How sad that this is considered old fashioned eh? We’re working on all of these things with our children as our parents did with us. Great photohunt. Have a marvelous weekend!
very cool!
why not give it a try lol!
Great photo for the theme! I’m not overly concerned with “high tea” etiquette, but sometimes I wonder whatever happened to the basics our parents taught us!
Have a great weekend!
LOVE IT! Must teach others around me to masticate food thoroughly!
Hi Ellen! I am really impressed with this photo. It’s perfect for old fashioned for sure.
Thanks for the visit.
Wow very oldies indeed! Great shot you have here. Happy weekend!
That’s really great! It’s old fashioned, but a shame that it is
Some people would need these rules very badly ! Sometimes when I am in a restaurant I think I am surrounded by a hord of pigs according to the noise !
These rules shouldn’t be old fashioned !
wouldn’t it be nice
hehe… very cool! I think this shld be on display at every restaurant!
That is to funny. To bad it’s not displayed more often.
Hahaha, that’s so cool. Happy hunting.
Nice one Ellen. Have a great Sunday.
It may be old-fashioned, but you’re right – table manners are often lacking these days. Have a lovely weekend!
I was stumped by this week’s theme, so I decided to sit one out. Your take on it is just brilliant.
Hope you have a great weekend!
I blame the parents. Uh Oh thats me.
I wish I lived up to those standards! Happy weekend
Ooooh, this is getting printed out for my boys. Thanks.
Bad table manners could make the best tasting meal a nightmare! They should display that at all restaurants and families should have one printed and framed up near the dining table
what a great reminder and yes, very apt for the theme!:)
I love old signs.
Four golden stars for that beauty.
And I know what you mean about table manners – so many people don’t know how to use a knife and fork correctly. They’re sawing there meat like it’s firewood.
Have a fabu weekend
Old-fashioned, but this is something worth remembering and practicing (=
Ah..chooo… Excuse me
Well, I hated people who do not have table manners at all, especially those who snatch the food as though there will never be tomorrow. Great idea for the week
Love it!
Well, I am out of the norm here because I use my hands to eat something like fried chicken or corn on the cob. I do use some table manners when absolutely necessary though. I do however agree that children need to know some table etiquette. I loved your picture for this theme. Happy Photo Hunting~
What a beautiful sign, and one that I wish all would heed!
this should be posted on all eating places. thanks for sharing
