Willow and I saw this on one of our walks and I just couldn’t resist taking a photo and thinking I could use a sign like that in Washington but really…Can a dog read? If the owner watches the dog poop on my lawn and leaves it there will the sign help? Can the owner of the dog read? Just some things I wonder about.
I want one of those!!! Thanks for sharing this clever idea. I’ve got ‘tennis action shots’ at Small Reflections and ‘colorful flowers’ at Sacred Ruminations today.
Hugs and blessings,
This makes me wonder about the person who would put it on their lawn. I bet their hair clenches as they worry about their blades of grass. Relax, man. I’ve got a bag - see?
I need one of those! Our gestapo on deed restricitons would probably send me a letter.
Harry Husker (Nebraska mascot) was in my garage window after a bowl game, the sent a letter telling me to remove my unauthorized sign.
hi ellen, the sign is for the owner of the dog. am sure at your part of the globe, there’s no dog on the loose unlike at my end.
i remember one time in Bangkok, an owner walked her dog and the dog poop, the owner picked the poop in a plastic and carried it along with her to a trash bin. i think, that’s responsible petting.
Here in Singapore, dog owners get fined if they don’t clean after their dogs. Singapore is a FINE city, people get fine for not flushing the public toilets too. hahaha…..
Oh I could use one of those. I think my neighbors think I don’t mind because I have a dog.
Like I have time to clean up after other peoples pets other then my own. Geesh.
Very funny…. as are your comments… “can the dog read?… can the owner read?” I’ll add this question… isn’t it possible that a dog (since it probably CAN’T read) might see this sign as an invitation rather than a discourager? Hmm.

Clever sign
Hi Ellen, this is funny!
The dog can definitely not read, but the owner can. Now it’s up to the owner to either ignore it or abide by it
hahahahah That is great!

What a funny sign…!!
I sure could have used one of those signs a few years ago when I lived in a house instead of an apartment!
oh the perils of living by the hydrant oh no
Funny stuff. Also funny: the things you “think about” up there.
Happy WW
That should get the point across.
Maybe.

a cute sign but I must agree, the dogs can’t read but I’m sure the owner can.
