I may not remember a lot of things…but that day is etched in my mind. I walked out of a coffee shop with a friend and we both looked up at the brilliant blue sky to see A LOT of contrails making QUICK loops and heading back to the KC airport….then sitting on the sofa with our girls watching, crying, praying….stunned….knowing that God alone would be able to help all those hurting people through…still so stunning.
I remember the shock and apprehension of what might come next after that first news broke that a plane had flown into the Twin Towers and that one was headed to L.A. Then one unbelievable moment after another that seemed to go on for days.
I was in a coffee shop waiting talking with my daughter and then she dropped me off at her apt to wait for my ride to the airport to fly home from LAX to PDX. Obviously, I didn’t make the flight… WE WILL NEVER FORGET!
I will never forget the feeling I had the first time I saw the news on tv, I was stunned for hours. The persons who decided on this horrific thing are not really a Muslim, because the religion is against killing another human being. I felt the sadness till now.
