As of June 2017 Photobucket has blacked out all my photos that I had stored there and are holding them hostage. Hopefully I can update my photos on all the posts they have ruined, over 4000 of them.
Wordless Wednesday ~ Tuesday Edition…
For more Wordless click here.
The photo is taken in front of our house on Oak Street in Pico Rivera, California. My brother Fred, myself, my sister Vera, and my sister Kathy. My mom must have made Kathy and Vera’s outfits. Fred and my costumes are pretty dismal. I wonder who or what I’m suppose to be with that weird hat on…
Trick or Treat in this poor area we lived in was magical. For poor little kids to come home with a big bag of candy was such a wonderful treat. The families in this neighborhood all took great effort in making the trick or treat experience one to be remembered…
Thanks for this. What a classic.
Beautiful Memories! Thanks for sharing:)
What a great idea. Happy Halloween! 🙂
Would be great if you could show us “back then” and “now” pictures of those in the photograph. Hahah Happy Halloween (=
Wonderful! Now I want to go back and look at my old albums. Thanks for that.
This is sweet, innocent fun! What kind of candy did you get back in the day?
Oh for simpler times!
Very cute pic!
Way too funny! What are you supposed to be? I love that Vera is the only one without a mask!
wow, I love all of those unique costumes!
That reminds me of my childhood! I’ll have to go look through my photos!
I can’t figure out what you and your brother were. hehe… Happy Halloween!
That is a really funny photo. What are you? I had the same idea for a post. Scanner is not usable but I wanted to use a photo from college when I wore my old brownie uniform and my friend was a nun. My car had to have a jump start and the nun had to push the brownie and then jump in fast.
How sweet. You had be looking at my calendar for a minute.
The pictures of this fun looks so much more innocent than the pictures we often see today.
Awww I love photos like these .. 🙂 Happy WW
Okay, this brings back memories. Oh yes. I love it. Have a great WW. 🙂

Ahhh, the good ol’ days before Halloween had to be evil and grotesque…. sigh.
Lovely Retro feelings — you still keep that hat?
How cool! Oh, and fabulous banner.

Happy Halloween!
precious photo! happy halloween!
This is awesome!!!
Well, it matters not what you were supposed to be…Those times were more innocent and the fun was less complicated! Kids were happy without spending a fortune and times were less stressful and hurried!
Happy WW!
That is a great shot! Just think how times have changed. Some days I wish I could raise my 4 in the 50s.
So cool to compare. Clowns and masks–not a gory monster or Power Ranger in sight.
G’day from Australia,
I came here from Sandee’s blog. I guess it’s not the costumes that are important – it’s the camaraderie and whether you had fun on the day.
It’s a great return to childhood. Enjoyed my first visit here.
Cheers
David
But this picture is so full of delight that it’s Halloween and that you’ve got a mask on. I’m sure you didn’t need to be anyone specific – you look fairly young there. Really love this shot!
Precious picture of your times and memories…I knew it was the four of you, even tho I couldn’t see your faces, before I read your comment, because the four of you were always together is pics. (can I write with that many commas!!).
Maybe Jack can see that even Nana dressed up funny! Happy Hw.
That is an amazing photo! Even though you’re not sure “what” exactly you’re supposed to be…sure didn’t interfere with your mission for candy!
How neat… now a days I can’t stand the majority of the costumes – no thought goes into some of these, they just buy it… Oh, ya, I’m finishing up my costume as I’m visiting the WW’s 😛 Have a Happy Halloween & Happy WW!! 🙂
I love the older pic!
That was such a lovely picture. I love old photographs.
Great picture! You look like your could almost be a scarecrow with the overalls and pointy hat?
Awwwwwwww, I remember back in the day pic’s…that is so cool. Happy WW and thanks for stopping by:)
what a precious memory … some times you wonder what happened to the simple thinsg in life. Everything has become so commercialised … store bought costumes especially
Wow! That is so cool. I love b&w pics like that! 🙂
This has left me with tears in my eyes and a smile. We’ve thrown together costumes this year..or borrowed them. This is a beautiful picture. I really believe those with less do seem to get a little more out of the magical holidays! Happy WW!!!! This is absolutely adorable and priceless.
Oh my word! What an awesome photo! I love it. thank you for sharing this. Isn’t it crazy how things change? Happy WW and Halloween!
Great picture to remember old times!!!
I love that there are no dead football players or demonic ghouls. They look so innocent and nice. Gone are those days!
Very cool. Even when I was younger halloween was all about home made costumes… now it is so different
