Tablescape Thursday ~ In the Yard!

When I was at my home in Washington State I thought it would be fun to do a tablescape outdoors. The weather was lovely and I raced against the setting sun to set this table in my front yard. The neighbors are probably wondering about me…

This is a vintage tablecloth that my MIL had in her stash. The hobnob little clear & milky plates are from Dear’s Great, great aunt Emma. The old silver flatware is from Dear’s parents too.

We bought these beautiful daffodils at Pike Place Market in downtown Seattle. I loved the fullness of them and the added orange.

Oh and looky here Jack Sparrow and Sparra Queen Warbeak made it into an actual tablescape!

Photobucket is holding all my photos that I stored on their site from 2007-2015 hostage replacing them with ugly grey and black boxes and asking for a large ransom to retrieve them. It is a slow process to go through all my posts deleting the ugly boxes.

  1. wow… what a lovely tablescape! I adore the tablecloth, those birds are too cute… and the beautiful flowers just top it all off! Lovely cake plate too! Awesome job! Thanks for sharing… Please check out the give away on my blog this week! Katy *Plucky

  2. Oh, I love those 40’s tablecloths! So bright and pretty! I am hoping to go to an antique fair in the country this summer and get some of those, providing they are not too expensive. You carried the theme through beautifully with your selection of dishes. The flowers are perfect for this tablescape. Not only is this perfect outdoors, but it’s also not a table you see every day which makes it even more special. Beautiful job!!!!!!!

  3. I love this tablescape! The flowers are gorgeous! And that vintage tablecloth is so festive! The hobnail plates add the perfect touch! I am glad that the birdies made it back for the tablescpae! lol I hope you are having a great week!…Debbie

  4. Oh I love the pink camilla in the little birdie dish. That tablecloth is absolutely stunning. And by the way – my neighbors think I am wierd, too! Gathering flowers at midnight….snipping herbs in my nightgown. LOL Thanks for sharing this with us, Barb

  5. Wow!! That is gorgeous. Love the way the flowers match that wonderful vintage tablecloth. I envy you so much having Pike’s Place close by. We went in December when our son got married on Bainbridge Island in 2005. Of course, I’m sure the flowers are prettier this time of year.

  6. This is just exactly the kind of informal setting I adore. Just beautiful and I would arm wrestle you for that adorable tablecloth. lol

  15. Wow, those birds sure get around — a full and interesting life!

Lovely table. I especially like the vintage cloth — so evocative of times past; I remember cloths like that from my youth! (A hundred or so years ago!)

    Thanks for sharing… Cass
