Sing praise to God Who reigns above, the God of all creation,
The God of power, the God of love, the God of our salvation.
With healing balm my soul is filled and every faithless murmur stilled:
To God all praise and glory.
What God’s almighty power hath made His gracious mercy keepeth,

“The Lord is never far away… ” — I love love love that!
Great to see Johann Schutz’s hymn (at least, the English translation by Frances Cox). Very good hymn, but not found in many hymnals today, and as a result, seldom used in most denominations. It might make a good hymn to sing on Thanksgiving Sunday. (In Canada, our Thanksgiving comes up in 2 1/2 weeks.)
