On Friday besides visiting Laurie’s Party head over to the Mennonite Girls Can Cook blog where I’ve posted the recipe for this dessert that would be great for Valentine’s Day! Remember the recipe won’t be posted till Friday!
Now for some possibilities for a Valentine Day scape!
This was last years bar scape that Dear and I had our Valentine’s Day dinner at…
Another possibility without red…
Here are the two cutest Valentine’s in love that I know!! My parents who have been married for 66 years!
Hoping you have a Valentine’s Weekend filled with lots of love for all the people in your life.
Photobucket is holding all my photos that I stored on their site from 2007-2015 hostage replacing them with ugly grey and black boxes and asking for a large ransom to retrieve them. It is a slow process to go through all my posts deleting the ugly boxes.
What a sweet sweet post. Happy Valentines Day to you!
So pretty! Look at those flowers, too!
I love those red and white napkins!
God bless your parents, they are adorable! What wonderful smiles..you are blessed Ellen!
Happy ♥ Day!
I love your post, especially the photo of your parents! Thanks for sharing.
Ellen, this is the sweetest Valentine’s post!!! I love the tablescapes, and the dessert (will go check out the recipe). Most of all, I love the pictures of your parents, you and Mr. B!!
Happy Valentine’s Weekend – incidentally, we will be celebrating Chinese New Year as well since they fall on the same day.
This is so pretty and sweet — the pictures of your parents just brought tears to my eyes — how special to have them and for them to have each other for Valentine’s.
Hi Ellen! Oh, what gorgeous tables! Everything is so pretty and how wonderful to see your sweet little parents! They are so precious!

Beautiful tablescape. Someday I simply must own some heart shaped plates and bowls, those are so interesting.
Well there’s not stopping with themes for you. Isn’t that one amazing couple. I hope I can look like that after 66 years. I love perusing through your table settings. Absolutley beautiful…I think everyone in my home will feel the festive feeling of red, but for some other reasons.
Beautiful…from the valentines to the table settings…and to the most special Valentine’s couple!
I love all your pictures but my favorite one is your parents. God bless them for loving each other for 66 years! Joan @Americana By Candlelight

Hi Ellen,
I’d love to take you up on the hat offer! If you would get in contact with me via leaving a “do not publish” comment with your email address I will send you an email with my home address. What a kind thing to do both for me and the elderly spinsters. I hope you can tell me a bit more about them…I like the have a bit of background about the people who wore the hats.
Thanks so much.
PS: Where did you get your Home Ec degree? My BS Home Ec was from Oregon State.
